Route through the Aiguamolls de Vilaüt

With this experience we will discover the Aiguamolls of the Empordà, one of the main wetlands of Catalonia, highlighted for its natural, aesthetic and social values, in a different way and with the comfort of an e-mountain bike.

From Castelló d’Empúries we will enter through the places around the lagoons of Vilaüt, habitat and refuge of multiple species of birds in periods of migration. If we’re lucky, we’ll be able to watch migratory birds stop there to rest during the trip or listen to a full-fledged frog concert. We will continue through the natural surroundings of the villages of Peralada and Vilanova de la Muga, along the foothills of the Sierra de Rodes, passing through the Empordà plain and crossing the mosaic of fields and crops protected from the north by rows of cypress trees. Finally, we will return along the banks of the river Muga.
