Commemoration of the 125th Anniversary of Requesens Castle

In 2024, we celebrate the 125th anniversary of the reconstruction of Requesens Castle by the architect Alexandre Comalat, from Figueres, commissioned by the Count of Peralada. His son, Guillem Comalat i Joana (1880-1906), spent much of his time in Requesens due to his father’s work, where he began his career as a painter and created most of his work.

From June 20th to 27th, an exhibition will be held at Porxos de Can Laporta and in various spaces throughout the municipality. Additionally, several commemorative events will take place (see separate program for details).
