Information

This product is made from pasteurised goat’s or sheep’s milk from farms in the Empordà and is curdled by using plant or animal rennet. It is eaten as a dessert accompanied by honey or sugar.

  • Availability: all year round.
  • Characteristics of the product: a white, milky coloured product with a shiny soft, jellylike texture. It has a fresh, sweet, milky flavour.
  • Packaging: in pots (80 g to 140 g) and loose in packages of 1 to 3 kg.
  • Storage: it can be kept in the fridge for around 8 days.

This product is made from pasteurised goat’s, cow’s or sheep’s milk from farms in the Empordà and is curdled by using plant or animal rennet. It is eaten as a dessert accompanied by honey or sugar.

  • Availability: all year round.
  • Characteristics of the product: a white, milky coloured product with a shiny soft, jellylike texture. It does not have a defined rind, but on the outside you will be able to see the lettering of the recipient in which it was drained. It has a fresh, sweet, milky flavour.
  • Packaging: in a cloth.
  • Storage: it can be kept in the fridge for around 5 days.
