Culture in exile: the Interpretation Center of the Catalan Cultural Exile and the Mina Canta

Scheduled activities are part-time (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.).

Pre-registration is required and the activity is subject to a minimum number of registrants.

The trips are made in the participant’s own transport and lunch is not included.

We will start the day with a visit to the Interpretation Center of the Catalan Cultural Exile, in Agullana, where we will discover the survival of Catalan culture in exile. Exiled politicians, writers and artists who continued to support the republic from other parts of the world. We will walk through the forests of La Vajol to discover the Mina Canta, the place that hid the funds and currency of the Bank of Spain, as well as a consignment of works from the Prado Museum during the war.
