The Terrace Pau is a registered casa rural which has been welcoming guests since 2012. It was a part of the first masia in Pau dating from 1850, but it has been completely renovated and tastefully decorated as a three bedroom family house. There are two terraces with views of the Emporda, and a patio garden. All rooms are comfortably furnished with WiFi, TV and central heating / fans. In the sitting room there’s a TV, CD/ DVD player, books, games and local information available. The kitchen is very well-equipped. You will arrive to a house that is welcoming and ready for you to start your holiday.
The house is perfectly situated for discovering the mountains, the countryside and the sea. From our door, you can walk along many walking routes to visit ancient dolmens, hike across the mountains to St Pere de Rodes, taste the excellent local wines at various cellars, cycle cross-country to the nearest beaches in Roses.
Pau is a typical Catalan village with a peaceful atmosphere and friendly people. It has a good restaurant – the Garimall, a Centre Civic which serves light meals and drinks, and it also sells essential provisions. For much greater choice Carrefour supermarket is less than 10 minutes by car. In the village there is a large municipal swimming pool, a children’s pool and grass area for relaxing.
From Pau you are well positioned for exploring the Emporda and Costa Brava, with most places less than 40 minutes by car – Roses, Cadaques, Cap de Creus, Figueres, St Marti d’Empuries, Besalu, and many more. This region has much to offer, whether you enjoy water sports, walking, biking, sky-diving, golfing, wine-tasting, delicious cuisine, festivals, or just chilling out with a great copa de cava!
The owners are always happy to answer your questions and to share with you their knowledge and love of the area.
