THE HOUSE
The house has six bedrooms, a dining room, living room, outdoor terrace, 10,000 square metres of garden and a private car park, all within its own grounds.
The owners, Josep and Maria, started work in agrotourism in 1995.
Following refurbishment. El Molí is a practical and comfortable place that is perfect for a few day's holiday on the Costa Brava.

THE FARM
Our farming is based on fattening Pyrenean calves and producing cereals and fodder.
We also have regional chicken breeds and thoroughbreds such as the Wyandotte, Brahma, Flor d’Ametller, Leghorn, Pita Pinta from Asturias, Japanese Nagasaki, Hamburg, White-Faced Black Spanish, etc.
During their stay our guests can visit the farm and discover the wide diversity of colour shown by these beautiful birds.
We also have a few sheep.

THE SURROUNDINGS
The farmhouse is surrounded by 10,000 square metres of garden, with medicinal plants and shade trees such as eucalyptus, melias, nettle trees, silver birch, various kinds of acacias, cedars, olives, almonds, etc. There is also a wide variety of birds, including swallows, bee-eaters, hoopoes, nightingales, Montagu’s harriers and the long-eared owl, whose night-time call reminds us that it is time to go to sleep. Beside the garden is a brook that runs between evergreen oaks and, at the back, a more out-of-the-way area where visitors can enjoy loungers and sunbathe while listening to the song of the birds. Further on, there are woods, cultivated fields and rural paths to take be discovered.

Siurana is a small farming village of some 140 inhabitants. From its highest point there is a view down over the sea — the nearest beaches being in Sant Pere Pescador and Sant Martí d’Empúries — as well as of the Canigó mountain to the northeast. The nearest town is Vilamalla, two kilometres away.

OUR COOKING
Our cooking is based on the most traditional dishes, the ones that have always been with us. Typical Catalan cuisine, with seasonal produce from the garden.
Our relationship with the farming world means that we can vouch for our products being well-sourced.
Their quality speaks for itself. By preparing them in the traditional manner, we manage to retain the autentic flavours of the past.

We serve dinners six days a week, with one day off. Guests can go to the local village restaurant on foot (only 5 minutes from the house), or we can recommend some other nearby restaurants.
